Moving Day is May 15th!

It will surely be a busy weekend with celebrating the end of MCAS/ Leah's commencement/moving!

High and Low

I recall a daily reflection activity I learned in high school, or maybe it was on a college retreat: High and Low.

Today's high: Finding mail in our mailbox for the very first time.


Today's low:
After looking forward to this morning's coffee--since yesterday--and having a busy 45 minutes with my third graders (attendance, lunch count, extra help notes, phone calls home for forgotten glasses...) I sat down to enjoy what I had anticipated was a sweet blueberry iced coffee, to find out it was nothing close to what I had ordered. Always a gamble...

A Day with the Dogs

This afternoon was spent with the dogs. Literally.

Erica and I brought our respective kids (Buck and Ellie) for a double doggy date at Sharon's dog park. The dogs played and ran and sniffed and wrestled and wandered and ran and sniffed and wandered some more. (Ellie spent more time wandering and sniffing than playing per se but she got some fresh air and has spent most of the evening on the couch sleeping.)

I tackled a few grad class assignments/ a bit of school work today knowing the next few days are busy busy busy!

Tomorrow's big event:

Ellie sees her new house and backyard for the first time.

Dad will help us change the locks on the house; We'll begin the major scrub down of the walls, windows, and floor and start yard work.



So excited to begin moving in/decorating/hosting/entertaining.

It's official!

We are homeowners!!

Waiting...

I find myself looking forward to the weekends more and more and waiting for some exciting events in our near future.

I am excited for tomorrow night's baking creations.

I am waiting for a closing date.

I am waiting for moving day.

I am waiting for a $200 check as credit for being over-charged for dental work a year ago.

I am looking forward to reunions next month with old friends.

I am waiting for the day I get to furnish our new home.

I am excited for a twenty-mile walk with a great friend.

I am looking forward to Memorial Day weekend and a reunion with my favorite bride-to-be.

I am waiting for my new {smaller} bridesmaid dress to arrive!

I am waiting for June when both of my graduate courses will be over.

I am waiting for RO's summer wedding and a weekend in Newport.
